Hospital Elevator

Hospital elevators, often referred to as hospital lifts, bed lifts, or stretcher lifts, are specialized vertical transportation systems designed to meet the unique and critical demands of healthcare facilities.Their design prioritizes size, hygiene, reliability, and smooth operation over the typical speed and aesthetics of a standard passenger elevator.

Specialized Disgn & Capacity

The primary distinction of a hospital elevator is its size and load capacity, which must accommodate large medical apparatus.

Large Cabin Size   Wide Doors   Shallow / Accurate Leveling

The interiors are significantly larger than standard passenger lifts to ensure the comfortable and safe transport of Hospital Beds or Stretchers. Typically the capacity ranges from 1,600 kg to 2,500 kg or more (20 to 33+ persons equivalent).   Features wide, center-opening, automatic doors (often 1200 mm or more in width) to allow for easy maneuverability of beds and equipment without jarring the patient.   Requires extremely precise floor alignment and minimal gap (precision leveling) to ensure smooth transfer of beds and wheelchairs without tripping hazards or uncomfortable bumps.

Interior Design & Materials

Infection control is a critical design element. Hospital Elevator Cabin is specialy designed for maintaning the hygiene.

Antimicrobial Surfaces   Easy to Clean   Ventilation and Air Quality

Cabin interiors, handrails, and button panels are often made of durable, non-porous materials like stainless steel or specialized antimicrobial coatings that inhibit bacterial growth.   The interior design avoids crevices and intricate patterns, opting for smooth, water-tight surfaces that can be easily and thoroughly disinfected with hospital-grade cleaners.   High-Efficiency fans or HEPA filters can be integrated to ensure maximum air changes and hygiene within the cabin.

Experience Essential Safety Features

Overspeed Governor and Safety Brakes   Door Safety Systems   Overload
Sensor
Emergency Communication   Automatic Rescue Device (ARD)

If the car descends too fast, the governor trips, engaging robust safety brakes that clamp onto the guide rails, bringing the car to a controlled stop.   Invisible light beams or pressure sensors prevent the doors from closing if a person or object is blocking the entrance, causing them to immediately reverse.   Prevents the elevator from moving if the weight inside exceeds its rated capacity, displaying a warning instead.   Includes an Emergency Alarm button and an Intercom or Telephone system to contact building staff or emergency services   In case of a power failure, a battery-powered unit takes over, moving the car to the nearest floor and opening the doors safely, preventing passengers from being trapped.
